2019 : TREE HAZARD ASSESSOR GAME

Role: Studio Lead/Founder

Description

A serious game developed to assess and certify Tree Hazard Assessors for Victorian emergency services and land management agencies by Forest Fire Management Victoria in the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning. This project had to consider training over 600 operational personnel and replicating the breadth and depth of tree hazard environments.

2016 : KILGORS – MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTING SIMULATIONS

Description

Kilgors is a series of simulations developed to teach undergrad and postgrad business students about Management Accounting. The simulations are used by over 30 universities and 20,000 students worldwide including some of the worlds most prestigious business schools.
A series of reflections and discussion points are inserted throughout the simulations, and feedback to the instructor on the student decisions is available in graphical form to guide class discussion. Comprehensive teaching notes are available.

2013 : VIRTUAL SPARKY – ELECTROTECHNOLOGY SERIOUS GAME

Description

Virtual Sparky is a training tool designed to assist teachers deliver training associated with the nationally recognised Australian qualifications: – UEE30807 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician – UEE30811 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician The virtual experience creates an engaging and safe environment where learners are able to move through a 3D building and face real world challenges and problems as they conduct tests of a domestic electrical installation. Being web-based, students can access the learning activity from home, school or work. Trainers are able to use it as a complement to classroom or on the job learning. Virtual Sparky is a collaboration between the Gordon and Oztron Media, and is funded by the Victorian State Government (Department of Education and Early Childhood Development).

2013 : PHARMATOPIA – PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCE SIMULATIONS

Description

Pharmatopia is a series of pharmaceutical science related virtual training environments administered by Monash University. Pharmatopia’s principle objective is to create a continuum of engaging problem-based, pharmacy learning/training modules, relevant to schools, universities and industry. It is based on a shared-practice model. Participating educators develop a learning module to meet a particular learning/training need. The virtual modules are freely accessible to schools and universities and on a cost recovery basis to industry. Ten universities worldwide participate in the Pharmatopia project worldwide, as well as two pharmaceutical companies, CSL and GSK. Topics covered include biotechnology, compound dispensing and drug testing and manufacturing. The virtual modules are available in English, Chinese and Spanish.

2013 : 3D ENERGY EFFICIENCY SIMULATOR

Description

The 3D Energy Efficiency Simulator is an immersive 3D simulator used for teaching Environmentally Sustainable Design in third and fourth year Engineering at Victoria University, RMIT, and QUT. The simulator allows students to step into their architectural engineering creations, explore the best ways to reduce energy usage and greenhouse gas production, and identify what combination of factors reduces efficiency and increases emissions.
