I am passionate about using technology to improve the human condition.
I am the Managing Director of Games for Change Asia-Pacific, and have over 18 years experience creating award winning serious games and simulations for education and training.
I am Chief Technology Officer at Real Response, helping design mixed reality solutions for medics in the Australian Defence Force and other first responders.
I am also a PhD candidate at RMIT University examining how values can be accounted for in game design. I have co-authored a wide range of publications related to the use of serious games, simulations and virtual environments in education, and I am passionate about research with practical, real world outcomes.
I also co-founded The Lab – a nationwide network of technology clubs for young people with Asperger’s Syndrome which now operates in over 35 locations across Australia.
As a board member at Simulation Australasia I was the Serious Games Convenor for the Australasian Simulation Congress, and managed the Serious Games Showcase and Challenge Australasia.
I have worked as an educator, researcher and advisor at a range of universities, and am a guest lecturer on the topic of serious games at UNSW.
